Issues I Have with the US Elections

Saturday 30 July 2016

It's becoming increasingly difficult to turn on the news or check Facebook without being bombarded with information about the elections in America. While most of the time Aussie news just seems to be taking the piss out of the election, Facebook seems to be overridden with slanderous remarks about the opposition and awful memes. Over the last couple of decades, making slandering remarks about your opponent seems to be the sole focus of the primaries. A Single Event Can Change Your Life for the Better

Tuesday 12 July 2016

Throughout our lives there often can be times where we as individuals feel lost. With social media shoving everyone's happiness down our throats, it can be difficult to cope with normal, daily struggles. One can get caught up in a myriad of questions: "why is their life so perfect?", "why do all these hardships keep happening to me?", etc. Over the past couple of years, I slowly started losing faith in myself. At the first sign that I might be getting a migraine or illness, I would quickly tell myself that I needed to rest so that it didn't get worse. I found it easy to not go to the gym, push myself, or put out a lot of effort. It became a very vicious cycle. With some recent life changes, I started to evaluate my life and who I've started to become. What I saw made me incredibly unhappy, and I knew something needed to change. This was when I got a crazy idea; I would run a Spartan Race.

Reasons to Visit the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens

Tucked away amongst the Dandenong Ranges is the serene Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens.  This picturesque sanctuary has a variety of paths that takes you through the entirety of the Gardens. The Alfred Memorial Gardens is open daily from 10am to 5pm so it is the perfect stop off after visiting Sherbrooke Falls. Personally, I feel the gardens are exceptionally breathtaking during autumn. The variety of colours mixed in with the evergreen trees makes for a stunning sight. But that's not the only enticing thing about the gardens...
